UPSSSC Senior Instructor Syllabus 2026 – Exam Pattern – Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has prescribed the complete examination scheme and detailed syllabus for the UPSSSC Senior Instructor (Jyeshtha Anudeshak) Recruitment 2026 under Advt. No. 21-Exam/2026. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their valid UPSSSC PET 2025 Score Card will appear for a single-stage Main Written Examination comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for 100 marks.

The written test will be conducted in objective format (OMR-based or CBT mode). The section-wise breakdown of questions and marks is detailed below:

The syllabus for the Main Written Examination is divided into three parts as outlined in the official notification:
Part 1: Rural Development & Analytical Ability (65 Marks)
Section A: Subject-Specific Knowledge Related to Rural Development (50 Questions / 50 Marks)
- Characteristics of Indian Agriculture & Rural Economy: Role of agriculture in rural economy, structure of Indian farming, and economic significance.
- Soil and Water Conservation: Basic measures for soil conservation, water management, prevention of soil and water pollution.
- Cooperatives & Sustainable Development: Cooperative system structure, role of cooperatives in rural development, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Agricultural Extension & Education: Principles of extension education, training methodologies, and knowledge transfer to rural populations.
- Panchayati Raj System & Administration: 3-tier Panchayati Raj setup, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), rural local governance, and duties of village officers.
- Government Schemes & Rural Welfare: Flagship state and central schemes for agriculture, animal husbandry, rural livelihoods, women & child development, and rural sanitation/public health.

- Office Applications: Essential elements of MS Word, MS Excel, and presentation tools.
- Internet & Communication: IP Address, Creation and operation of Email, Social Networking, and Web Browsing.
- E-Governance & Financial Tools: Digital financial tools, UPI, e-Governance applications, and Digital India initiatives in UP.

Part 3: General Information Related to Uttar Pradesh (20 Questions / 20 Marks)
- History, Art & Culture: Major historical developments, freedom movement in UP, art forms, architecture, festivals, fairs, folk music, and dances.
- Geography & Climate: Rivers, soil types, climate patterns, forest cover, wildlife sanctuaries, and mineral resources of UP.
- Polity & Governance: Administrative setup, state executive, legislature, and local self-government in Uttar Pradesh.
- Economy & Development: UP Budget highlights, agricultural production statistics, industrial policies, trade, and economic indicators.
- Demographics & Social Schemes: Census data, urbanization, education system, public health initiatives, and state welfare programs.
Selection Process & Shortlisting Criteria
- Stage 1 (Shortlisting): Shortlisting of candidates based on UPSSSC PET 2025 normalized scores (15 times the category-wise advertised vacancies).
- Stage 2 (Written Exam): Main Written Examination consisting of 100 MCQs (100 Marks).
- Stage 3 (Document Verification): Shortlisted candidates based on written exam merit will be called for document verification and medical standards check.
